Résumé/abstract:
This seminar will focus on the overview of Khmer speech processing including Khmer speech recognition (ASR) and Khmer text to speech (TTS). In Khmer speech recognition system, we start from the general overview of ASR system, the Khmer ASR corpus, the system performance and the ongoing work in ASR research. In Khmer text to speech, we will present our old system, which used diphoneconcatenative synthesis approach; then we will present our current study on Khmer speech synthesis based on unit selection and statistical parameter synthesis (HMM based). The systems will be demonstrated at the end of the seminar.
